The Fallen “Warrior”: Tezak
The “Fallen Warrior” / “Warrior Priest” cults are important to understand the mentality of Siege (Far-Right) groups ; they are symbols that are used to normalise expressions of grievance and at the same time are used to promote the Siege movement cultural values and ideologies. They are very useful as the movement is variegated and fragmented.
A good example is offered by the death of well known Far-Right (Siege) leader Tezak (Maxim Martsinkevich) in a Russian Prison (in the town of Chelyabinsk). Officially the reason was suicide but the underground network ,which unites West and East groups, claimed was killed. Maxim Martsinkevich was known for his activism and violence ; he used to “hunt down” member of the LGBT community. The former United Patriots Front lieutenant Thomas Sewell wrote an eulogy of Maxim Martsinkevich which defines him as a “Warrior Priest” (See picture 5).
It is also important to note that there are attempts in Russian prisons to build alliances of White suprematist groups like in the USA.
