Cassirer (1944) believed in a man as an animal symbolicum. Humans are symbol-producing creatures; the production and use of symbols are important and specific traits in humans’ behaviour and mental life. Science seems to acknowledge this , identifiying the hippocampus as the part of the brain which facilitates the capacity to immerse the mind into this symbolic level of integrated experience, metaphor, imagination and dream (Cornelius, 2016).

I have uploaded one simple example of how “hard” far right groups use symbols to radicalise INSIDE AND OUTSIDE this fragmented movement , to promote their narratives and to push individuals to action. The below work is quite sophisticated ; the visual /symbols are predominant in each points.

Using symbols is crucial for radicalisation; one of the most important teachings of Psychological Anthropology is that human behavior originates in the use of symbols (White ,1940).
